Life and Times of James Cockburn comes to the stage
Submitted by rwashburn on Mon, 08/03/2009 - 09:17.A new dramatic dialogue of the Life and Times of Northumberland's Father of Confederation, James Cockburn, will be performed in the Old Bailey in Victoria Hall on Aug. 3, 2009.
Rob Franklin will play the role of Cockburn, Northumberland's MP and the first speaker of the House of Commons, in the one-man performance reviewing the accomplishments of this historic figure.
Cobourg Historical Society hopes to bring major conference to area
Submitted by rwashburn on Fri, 12/19/2008 - 15:02.The Cobourg Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC) decided to bid for the 2010 or 2011 Heritage Conservation Conference, at its Dec. 10 meeting. The event is a joint conference sponsored by Community Heritage Ontario, the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals.
